Proverb for Life - Proverbs 20:10  Unequal weights and unequal measures are both alike an abomination to the Lord. (ESV) One thing I have learned about intentionally teaching my small fries character traits from Proverbs is that it doesn't have to take a lot of time.  The activities only take a few minutes, but they open a door for conversation all throughout the week as situations arise.  They act as a reference point that I can point to and my small fries can relate to.  They don't take it all in at once as they sat at the table and do the activity.  It's a process. Proverb For Life - Proverbs 21:6  A fortune made by a lying tongue is a fleeting vapor and a deadly snare.  (NIV) I wish my kids knew who Bernie Madoff is.  It would have made illustrating this verse super easy.  But they're kids and have no clue!! So to bring home the truth of the deadly traps that lies spring, we had to do something a little different! For this activity you'll need: Rope Yup that's it...just rope. Begin by reading them Proverbs 21:6.  You may have to define the word snare too...I did! Explain that success in any way that comes from lying is only temporary and a deadly trap.
